Milo had his first public performance at OCH Friday night. It was a bit overwhelming for him. I can totally feel for him – neither Mike nor I are fans of the limelight! Here’s the breakdown of the evening:
He tried to ignore all those parents in the audience…
Trying so hard to be brave…
Other fun things that happened this weekend were a visit from Aunt Amy and Uncle Casey and the boys, Fiona’s dance performance as well as some family snuggle time! Poor Mike was sick and stayed in bed all weekend.
Amy, Heidi & I did a little bonding over Gingerbread houses & beer!
Milo’s language has really developed. He’s saying things like, “Mama, watch me!” and “I want soup!” (with preference for Mike’s chicken noodle soup with tiny noodles and Parmesan cheese). One of his latest phrases is, “I want to go downtown!” I have no idea where this came from but I’ve had to take him to several places and call them “downtown” to satisfy him. One of those places was the grocery store and the other was Chic-fil-a for lunch and the play area! Poor kid is going to be really confused about what downtown really is!
He is also a fan of eggs and toast (“2 eggs, mixed up” to be exact!) and if he has a runny nose he will cry, “my nose!”
He’s also starting to use the potty! We’ve watched the Elmo movie and he seems excited about this new trick. I’m thrilled! We’re ready to be done with diapers!
